Alexis + Mark originally had to postpone their June wedding at Mark's grandpa's cabin (which he built from the ground up) when COVID-19 hit. They were one of thousands of couples that had to make the hard decision to postpone or cancel. They did a very cute Instagram post announcing their plans.
About fourteen days before their original wedding date, they were contacted by someone from Lowe's saying they were one of five couples picked to have their backyard wedding sponsored. One of the other perks was having a celebrity designer help them bring their vision to life-- it ended up being Bobby Berk! Alexis reached out to me to give me the exciting news and ask me to still do florals for the big day. So, my mom and I rented a car & drove to Arizona to bring this vision to life.
This wedding was incredible for so many reasons. One being that I've known Alexis since she was in Kindergarten (I was in 4th or 5th grade) AND our moms find each other hilarious.
The night before the wedding we went to dinner together and I jokingly said that Mark's brother should carry Alexis' brother down the aisle and they'd be the flower boys. The result was tearful laughter and the birth of "Rose Bros".
They have the sweetest pup named Bo. Who doesn't love a wedding with a furry friend involved?! Not an eye was dry (hi, Mark) as Alexis and Danny made their way down the aisle.
Clearly, I was moved-- my mom brought tissues, thankfully. Alexis' mom held her bouquet for her while they exchanged vows. Our moms really came through that day!
The sweetest little hand squeeze Mark and his grandma exchanged made their recessional *that* much more special.
Alexis & Mark are probably the kindest people I've ever met and its clear that they get it from their families. They were all so sweet it was hard to tell who was related to whom because they were just one big happy family.
Clearly we all had such a wonderful time celebrating their love. The tears were endless and as I went through these pictures I (of course) cried some more.
